Been playing with those FAB Distress Paints from Ranger and Tim Holtz Blueprints again to create a little Altered Art "True Love" piece ....
.... and I even managed to take some step by step pics this time!
I started out by applying Picket Fence Distress Stain to the wooden block, dry with heat gun.
Then apply second layer of colour, I opted for Distress Paint (Weathered Wood)
Once dry I applied some Distress Ink (Walnut Stain) to grunge things up a little.
I then stamped the "chicken wire" from the Mixed Media stamp set using Picket Fence Distress Paint.
Repeat step above this time using the "bubble wrap" image from the Mixed Media stamp set using Distress Paint (Broken China).
Stamp the word "True" onto the side of the wooden block from the Worn Letters stamp set using Archival Ink (Jet Black).
And then the word "Love" onto the other side.
Stamp images from the Valentines & Ringmaster Blueprints stamp set again using a permanent ink pad (Archival) then colour with Distress Inks (Festive Berries).

I then embossed white cardstock with the Sizzix Alterations "Subway & Stencils Texture Fade, coloured with Walnut Stain and then trimmed. Next I cut out the three previously stamped hearts.
Apply chosen wording to the wooden block. Spritz some water onto "hearts and 14", blot excess of with kitchen roll. Layer hearts and secure using Tiny Attacher then adhere to the centre of the wooden block. Attach Ideaology Memo Pin to the top, open pin then place the "14" image inbetween.
Trim "Hand" image and adhere inbetween heart layers using 3d foam. Attach some twine to Ideaology Word Bar, adhere using Glossy Accents.
