PanPastel UK Challenge #3 " Glitz & Glitter" ....

Hello everyone, another Sunday, and another new challenge begins over at PanPastel UK

This weeks theme is "Glitz & Glitter" ....
now anyone who knows me knows I'm not a Glitter & Glitz kinda girl so this weeks project has my own interpretation of the theme.

I had this wooden Birdhouse block that my Brother in law had cut for me a while back. I started out by painting the block with Gesso and Texture Paste. I then used a Studio 490 stamp inked with Archival Ink (Jet Black). I then applied a layer of Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint to the top half of the birdhouse. The ickle Bird Cage & Bird is a Tim Holtz Mover & Shapers die to which I applied a layer of Pan Pastel (Burnt Sienna) then a layer of Rock Candy Distress Stickles

Other colours of Pan Pastels used were - Permanent Green & Phthalo Blue.

I then used letters from the Grungeboard Alphabet Soup pack which was painted in Adirondack Paint Dabber (Pitch Black) then a layer of Picket Fence Distress Stickles.

Click HERE to read the entry rules. This weeks challenge closes at midnight next Saturday.

The lucky winner will be chosen by Random.org and will win a voucher which is reedemable at our sponsors website HERE.

This is an outstanding 'Gillian' piece of art. The shape, the techniques and your interpretation of the theme are so inspirational. I love your style.
Have a great Sunday.
