Out of the Woods .... Alter It Monthly ....

Two posts in one day lol ... can you tell I'm catching up with blogging.
Hello May see's a new challenge over at Alter It Monthly. This months challenge was to use "WOOD" in your entry. This is my DT sample for this months challenge. This Papillon inspired hanging measures approx 28.5 x 9.5 cm. I started out by giving the wooden board a coating of PaperArtsy Fresco Paints (Baltic Blue), drying with a heat gun before applying a coat of Fresco Paints (Crackle Glaze), again drying with heat gun before applying a coat of Fresco Paints (Snowflake). Honestly if you haven't tried these paints yet ... it's a must .... Love Love Love them!

All stamps are from THE Tim Holtz collections (Papillion & Bitty Grunge). The heart is from Wendy Vecchi's Art Parts set (Dress Forms) which has also had the Fresco Paint treatment. The Ornate plate has been distressed with paint & ink.

The butterfly is from Tim's Movers & Shapers line which has been cut on Wendy Vecchi's CFA Whiteout, again distressed with Distress Inks (Weathered Wood & Faded Jeans). The cutie little vial is from Tim's Ideaology range which has been covered in Tissue Tape and distressed using Distress Ink (Faded Jeans).

I have various sized Game Spinners on the butterflies and heart, and some Faux Crystal droplets from my own stash to the rusty wire hanging.
