The lovely Linda over at Grungy Monday asked us this week to take a trip to the Ranger website where THE Tim Holtz demonstrates his Distress Ink Colour Blocking Technique .... all the details can be found HERE
The other lovely Linda over at Simon Says Stamp & Show challenged us to use "Old Wives Tales" in our entry this week. This theme certainly had to work the old brain cells I can tell ya. I opted to go with Counting Crows ....
When I was a little girl (many moons ago) everytime my gran saw crows she would always count them .... now I have a thing about Crows, they freak me out basically! (Thanks Gran).

Counting Crows:
One's Bad,
Two's Luck,
Three's Health,
Four's wealth
Fives's Sickness
Six is Death ... eeek
I have seven crows .... wonder what that is, hope it's better than six lol. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Great tag, Gillian! Not heard of the counting for crows - only magpies. Maybe it's a Scotland - England thing!

Hi Gillian - Thanks for stopping by! Lovin' the tag you created :) And I'm doing well, thank you for asking. xo
Love your tag! I've had umbrella man stamp backordered for months grrr!
Your entire blog is fab! Don't worry about the crows I believe they are one the most clever birds. I enjoy hearing them mimic other sounds.
Fabulous tag Gillian! I've heard of counting magpies, but not crows! xx
Gillian, this is wonderful! I only have the Umbrella Man in a small acrylic set - now I know I definitely need (ahem, want) him in the larger cling rubber size. Wonderful tag!
Beautiful tag! Love all the tim stuff and your color blocking is great.
I love this - you took to the challenge so much better than I did! I love the idea that the birds are crows - I'd never thought of giving them a species! Inspired!
Let's just say it's the "end" of a busy week - not quite a dead body... Glad you found time to create - I am going to campaign for a 5 day weekend for crafters. I love your bold colours and blocks - just right for these images and darker tones. Thanks so much for visiting me and Thank you very much for taking part on our Challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show!

Wonderful Gillian! I really like the dreamy quality of your tag, perhaps it's from the faded colour blocking in the background, great job! :) The Design Team are really pleased that you joined us for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge this week - Thank you!
Fantastic tag, love the background.
Love your tag. Your chose some great colours to use for you colour blocking technique. That's a new superstition on me. Thanks for sharing.
Such a fun tag. The sentiment goes perfectly with umbrella man! Your lighter background really sets off the stamping in black.
Wonderful tag Gillian, great colours!
Thank you for joining us and for entering your fabulous project in the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge!
