MIXED MEDIA MONDAY ....

collage on canvas (20x20cm)

close up of texture/crackle background

The challenge this week at MixedMediaMonday is to alter a playing card and/or incorporate this into your art work.

The background to this canvas was created using Distress Crackle Paint (Old Paper) and Crackle Medium , I then scattered Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo) for added texture onto the background whilst wet. The playing card has been altered using the Claudine Hellmuth Adirondack Paint Image Transfer technique using a Paper Whimsy image and then more crackle medium applied on top. Artists Paper (Artwork courtsey of Sally Jean Alexander) .

Oh Gillian. This is simply stunning. I love its muted tones and the texture of it...just wish I could see it up close and personal. A very imaginative use of a playing card too! Bravo, my friend!
