Paris Memoir ....

Time to play along with my favourite challenge blog Simon Says Stamp & Show where this week they are asking us to "show a stamp you love but don't use, or it could be a stamp you haven't used"

I love stamps that have words/saying/quotes on them ... I'm sure we all have a pile of stamps that fit that bill, I know I tend to reach for the sames ones all the time, so with that in mind I dug out my "Stuff To Say" quotes that were sitting looking pretty sad at the bottom of the pile .... and it would be rude not to ink up my new "Paris Memoir" set (to say I'm in LOVE is an understatement)!!!

I wanted to create a warm vintage look with these images, so I used Mustard Seed, Wild Honey & Gathered Twigs Distress Inks.

Here's a little how to ..........................................

Ink a Giant #12 Tag from Ranger with Mustard Seed using your blending tool.

Using the Ranger Embossing Pad ink up the large collage image from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous "Paris Memoir" stamp set.

This is what the stamped image will look like before applying your embossing powder.

Next cover image with UTEE from Ranger, pouring excess back into container before heat setting, be careful not to overheat the design.

You can see all the raised detail once you have heat set the embossing powder. Allow to cool before applying further layers of ink.

Next apply Mustard Seed to a #10 Kraft Tag from Ranger, then ink large collage image this time using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and stamp over tag background.

Apply Archival Ink (Jet Black) to Eiffel Tower image and stamp over large collage script image

To warm the colours up a bit apply Wild Honey to your tag. Then "bump" the edge of your tag with your blending tool using Walnut Stain.

Next I "flicked" some water over the background .... you can see the water droplets react differently on Kraft cardstock as opposed to a manilla tag.

Take a #8 Kraft Tag from Ranger and cover in Mustard Seed as before, then ink up "quote" stamp from "Stuff To Say" set and "Voyage" from Stampers Anonymous Classics #1 stamp set, using Archival Ink. Stamp the length of the quote twice on this tag ....

You can see now that you have a strip to use as a full verse and the other can be cut into word/saying blocks.

Love how this quote looks all mixed up ....

You now need to adhere the #10 tag and the #8 tag together so that the "Gentleman" image is aligned. I used an adhesive gun to do this.

Adhere all sayings/quotes using a Tiny Attacher. Then adhere your "vintage key" embellishment using Rangers Glossy Accents ....

I hope you like this tag as much as I do. I had lots of fun making it! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment to let me know you've been. Until next time .... stay inky!
