SSS&S .... A Bit Of Brown

Hello everyone .... hope you are well, corrr doesn't the days just roll on by, it feels an age where I actually had some time just to sit down and have a play. So armed with some "ME" time today I set about working with the FAB PaperArtsy goodies that I love & adore.

This week over at Simon Says Stamp & Show they are looking for a "Bit Of Brown" ... brown is good for the soul (as is blue lol) ... my two fav colours!

I started out by painting the back of this Paper Mache chunky hanging board with Fresco Paints (Chocolate Pudding), once dry I then applied a layer of Nougat through a Crafter's Workshop Mask (Mini Brocade), then with a little "bumping", I repeated the previous stage with Beach Hut. I then stamped with Archival Ink (Coffee) using the quote from Hot Pick 1215 I then dry brushed some Old Gold over the top. I painted the paper doillie from my stash with a watered down combination of Beach Hut & French Roast, using quote stamp & Archival Ink (Coffee).

On the front I used Fresco Paints (Nougat,Beach Hut & Chocolate Pudding) before stamping the rest of the images from Hot Pick 1215 with Archival Ink (Coffee). The Ideaology wings have been coated with a mixture of Beach Hut & Nougat, blasted with the heat gun, then I applied some Crafty Notions Gleam Rich Gold, as has the little sewing machine metal embellishment.

Okay I best be off and try and rescue the holy mess I have created. Thanks as always for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. x

What a fabulous project Gillian. I love the colour combo and all the elements you have used. Can't make my mind up which side I like best. If it were hung on my wall I think I'd have to keep rotating it, lol!
