Grungy Monday #20 .... Distress Stickles Party

Hello Grungy Monday friends .... I'm honoured to have been asked by the lovely Linda to be Guest Designer for this weeks challenge along with the ever so talented Jason. So without further ado are you ready to have a DISTRESS STICKLES PARTY to find out more about this amazing product and for bucket loads of inspiration , click HERE where you will meet the man behind this fab product .... none other than the man himself TIM HOLTZ! My project began as a wooden shadow box which I painted with Distress Stains (Vintage Photo), once dry I then swiped the box with some Picket Fence stain. The gorgeous Subway background paper is from the Ideaology Lost & Found Paper Stash.

I then cut some more cardstock, inked with Distress Ink (Old Paper) and cut with my Vagabond using the On The Edge Pennants die for the banner along the top and using the die again this time using Grungeboard for the dress form wings. I then cut some Grungeboard using one of my fav Big Dies (Sewing Room). I inked this with DI Old Paper & Walnut Stain, I then stamped the label from the Curiosities set.

Now for the fun part .... I used Distress Stickles in Antique Linen for the main part of the dress form, then using DS Vintage Photo for the wings. I then used Distress Stains (Vintage Photo) to stain the Trimmings
then spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Biscotti & Cappuccino. I then dabbed some more Distress Stickles in Antique Linen onto the Trimmings.

The flowers were cut from Ten Second Studio Metal using the Big Die Tattered Florals
the techniques applied to the flowers were inspired from a recent class I attended, taught by the amazingly talented Lin Brown. The use of the Foundations Feet were also inspired from this class. I used Distress Stickles Weathered Wood for the centre flower and Antique Linen around the petal edges. I then dabbed the above colours around the shadow box. The flowers and foundations box feet were inked using Alcohol Inks in Pesto & Terra Cotta. The Love Wish Dream stamp is from the Stuff to Say set.

So there you have it ... my GM guest designer piece ... I had a ball creating this! Don't forget to hop on over to the All Things Tim Yahoo Group hosted by list mum Gloria where you can upload your Grungy Monday artwork.

Thanks Linda for this awesome opportunity ... hope you all have fun with this product based challenge .... Go Create and have fun!
