DISTRESSING ....

Is this weeks theme over at Simon Says Stamp & Show. When I saw this weeks theme I knew straight away I had to get my new fav PaperArtsy Fresco Paints out to play. I was lucky enough to see Lin demo these at Ally Pally ... they are amazing, especially the Crackle Glaze ... Wow the speed this crackles at is beyond belief and to touch is sooo smooth ... weird.

For this weeks entry I painted a 5x5 canvas with London Nights, dried with heat gun, applied a layer of crackle glaze, dried with heat gun then applied a layer of Vintage Lace, I repeated this process for each part of the canvas. I then repeated the steps above with the Wendy Vecchi Art Parts set "Residences" ... yes the paints even work on Art Parts.

I then used Distress Stains (Wild Honey, Vintage Photo & Peeled Paint) on the other Art Parts Set (Floral, Borders & Bottles). All stamps are from Wendy Vecchi and stamped uing Distress Ink (Walnut Stain). The metal embellishment on the door is from 7 Gypsies, the metal flower is from Ideaology (Floral & Foliage).
